Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
We have helped municipalities secure New York State grant funding to bring EV charging infrastructure to their communities. From initial design and grant paperwork through contractor procurement and project completion.
Why EV Charging Stations?
EV charging stations attract both travelers passing through your area and local residents who drive electric vehicles. Visitors who stop to charge are likely to spend time—and money—at nearby shops, restaurants, and local businesses, directly supporting the local economy.
EV charging locations are easily found through popular smartphone applications and navigation systems, increasing your community’s visibility to a growing number of EV drivers. Installing charging infrastructure positions your town as forward-thinking, environmentally responsible, and welcoming to modern transportation.
For small communities looking to gain traction, encourage tourism, and invest in long-term economic growth, EV charging stations are a smart and impactful addition.

Select EV funding opportunities available through New York State:
ZEV Infrastructure Grants:
The Municipal ZEV Infrastructure Grant program provides grants to cities, towns, villages, and counties to install hydrogen fuel filling station components and Level 2 (L2) and direct current fast charge (DCFC) electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) primarily for public use.
All municipalities, defined as a county, city, town, or village residing within New York State are eligible to apply to the ZEV Infrastructure Grant program. Political subdivisions such as municipal corporations, school districts, district corporations, boards of cooperative educational services, fire districts, public benefit corporations, industrial development authorities, and similar organizations are not eligible to apply, however, may apply in partnership with an eligible lead municipality.

Charge Ready NY 2.0:
Charge Ready NY 2.0 offers rebates to public, private and not-for-profit organizations that install Level 2 EV charging stations at workplaces, multi-unit dwellings (multifamily properties) or hotels & motels. Level 2 stations typically provide up to 25 miles of electric range for each hour of charging, making them ideal for locations where drivers park for multiple hours.

EV Make-Ready Program:
The goal of the Electric Vehicle ("EV") Make-Ready Program ("EV Make-Ready Program") is to support the development of electric infrastructure and equipment necessary to accommodate an increased deployment of EVs within New York State by reducing the upfront costs of building charging stations for EVs. Through this EV Make-Ready Program, entities seeking to install or participate in the installation of Level 2 ("L2") and/or Direct Current Fast Charging ("DCFC") chargers can earn incentives that will offset a large portion of, or in some cases, all of the infrastructure costs associated with preparing a site for EV charger installation.
